Skype updated to version 1.0.2 and finally is available for our Samsung Galaxy S, with Android OS 2.2 or higher. This new version introduces two new important features.
- Saving Skype for Android to an SD card (with Android OS 2.2)
- Support for Samsung Galaxy S (with Android OS 2.2)
It is now possible to save Skype for Android on your SD Card, however whilst the application is stored on your SD Card, the Skype data while you use the application is still stored on the internal memory of your handset. The data storage on your phone depends on your account activities, and we expect it to be around 15MB for normal users. This feature works only with Android OS 2.2.
Head over to skype.com/m on your Android handset or to the Android Market to get the updated app to your phone.
