Firefox for Android is updated to version 16

Firefox for Android is updated to version 16, an update full of new features like the new Reader Mode or use the “Share” menu item to send tabs on our computer and your mobile device. Furthermore, they have also solved a number of errors.

Changelog Firefox for Android v16:

  • Reader Mode implemented for easy readability – just tap the book icon next to the URL
  • Use the “Share” menu item to send tabs to desktop/mobile devices through the “Firefox Sync” option
  • tel: URLs crafted to maliciously wipe your phone can no longer be opened
  • Improvements around JavaScript responsiveness through incremental garbage collection
  • CSS3 Animations, Transitions, Transforms and Gradients unprefixed in Firefox 16
  • Kyocera Echo temporarily de-supported due to stability issues (784757)
  • No longer supporting MD5 as a hash algorithm in digital signatures (650355)
  • Opus support by default (772341)
  • Support for text selection in static web content (695173)
